Ferrari built 4 of these F50 GT1s in the mid 90's  as endurance cars specifically for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Because they didn't have enough race engineers to operate both the rapidly expanding F1 team and an endurance team at a competitive level, the F50 GT1 program was shelved the the cars were sold off.  Much was written about these few cars, and they received much world wide acclaim.

This model is completely handbuild and shaped and finished in solid urethane resin castings. It is approximately 15 lbs, and is finished with 6 coats of hand rubbed lacquer. Most of the detail pieces in the cockpit, as well as the rear suspension, and wing are fabricated from wood carvings, or hand shaped from aluminum bar stock.  It is the third and last car in the three car Ferrari set of 1:6 scale race cars including the 333SP endurance car and the Michael Schumacher, F310B F1 car from 1997.  The other 2 cars will be offered at the concours by the artist.
