2011 Keeneland Concours d’Elegance
Car Nomination Form

The Keeneland Concours d’Elegance vehicle selection begins by nomination via this form. The Keeneland Concours Selection Committee will consider vehicles that best exemplify the class structure. Several factors are taken into consideration for accepting a vehicle for the Keeneland Concours and are outlined below.

- Significant and/or historical vehicles in original or restored to as the manufacturer intended condition will be considered.

- Each year special consideration is given to the Featured Marque Class. The 2011 marque will be Alfa Romeo.

- You may show more than one car, but we only allow one car per class per entrant.

- Vehicles will be judged based on the correctness of their "Period", "Presentation" and "Cleanliness".

- Judging is based on a points system. A perfect score is 600 points.

- Replicas, regardless of authenticity, will not be considered.

Photos Of Car:

Most people have photos of their cars but for proper consideration it is preferable to provide new, current
photos. We will accept print or digital photos (JPEG format) provided they include the following:
(a) Opposite corner shots. (Front and one side / rear and opposite side)
(b) Engine compartment – Photo to show how this area has been detailed
(c) Interior – Preferably taken from front passenger side either with door open or through the window. Photo should show vehicles dash/steering wheel and partials of front seat, door panel and floor.
(d) Photo of trunk and under carriage is optional.
(e) Single photo of the vehicle against a photogenic background that shows the overall view of the vehicle.

If your car is selected to be in the Concours, this photo will be published in the 2011 Concours event program along with a brief description. This program is a hard-bound collector quality book produced by Automobile Quarterly. Photos will be returned only if requested.

(f) Digital photographs must be high-resolution—at least 1200 x 900 pixels. Set your digital camera to the largest image size before taking the photos. This will insure a high-quality image, which will reproduce beautifully in the printed program.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATIONS OF VEHICLE:

Please provide an overall general description of car, if it is original or when it was restored. Note engine type/transmission and any special or unique features. List any publications or auto magazines in which the car may have been featured.

If your vehicle is selected this information will make up the description that will be published in the 2011 Concours event program book.

Please limit your description to approximately 70 words.

Example: 1919 Detroit Electric Model 75B
The Detroit Electric was the most popular and long-lived
electric vehicle sold in the United States. The Anderson
Electric Company (parent company to Detroit Electric)
produced 13,290 vehicles in 32 years of operation (1907
– 1939). Only 515 cars were built in 1919. The original
sale price for the 1919 models ranged from $1,775 –
$2,375. Quite a bit higher than the Ford Model T, which
sold for $275.
